BT Module Puts Phone In Headset Mode

I posted on this in the past and I'm just checking in to see if anyone has dealt with this and knows how to fix it.

I tried everything possible but another phone and car and exchanged it for HiFi and am very happy but would still like to get to the bottom of it. Or if anyone else experienced the same.
I would like to have both in play to run the BT interface only for info and updates and the HiFi when driving.

ALP triple / 2013 Charger R/T with Uconect

When running the BTM via Nexus 5x it goes into headset mode (no headset is connected). Now the car's, ALP's, and phone's audio only outputs via the phones headset jack, headset connected or not.

Not sure what you are stating. You do not connect to the BT module in your phones settings. If you tried to pair it un-pair it and forget it. You just need to scan from the ALP Connect app and connect from within the app.

Thanks, I am pretty sure I tried that or at least followed the instructions. I would love to try a loaner to see if I made a mistake.
