ALP's not picking up test Lidar

Here is the tester I have. My 9500ix picks up the Atlanta and unknown frequencies but not the ALP's. All the others are fine. Should I be worried?

For units purchased in the US the AL Priority System will only alert to guns used in the US. Half of those Chinese Radar Roy imported testers emulate international guns which a US ALP System will ignore.

Before looking at an Escort Radar Detector you should really check out Uniden Detectors.. Uniden R1 & R3 are the best performing radar detectors for the money.

It should have picked up the Atlanta as a PL2, unless the pulse rate is way off on the tester.

If it alerts to the others you know the ALP is detecting correctly.
If I passed you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

I also found out with the help of BRD, that some of the testers (2 that I have) have poor quality recordings of early VPR guns like TruSpeed2 (EU, antijam), and ALP's superior false filtering rejects this as a false, but will alert to the real gun.

I know this s a little askew of the topic.
But can you tell me the best way (aside from tailgating Volvo) to test Radar Detector function?
Are there signal generators or emulators available for that?

And for each headed to NJ for the testing this Sunday
Have an enjoyable, productive, and safe trip.

    Wish I could join you

Screw this LOL stuff. If they don't find it humorous on their own, then let 'em take it seriously.

    If you only need K band, Pocket Radar is good, and you can also use it for sports etc ;

You can also use a Bushnell radar gun for K band.

For Ka band, you'll have to find a police unit on eBay. Bear in mind to use it legally (in the USA) you need a part 90 FCC license.

It didn't, but I am not worried about it at this point. I will be head to the meet up at the end of the month to have it checked out. Thanks for the reply.

If it's a cheap tester it may not be crystal clocked so the pulse rates may be far enough off that jammers will miss them, or mis-identify them (Unknown Gun on LI).

Even if it is crystal clocked, if it has an under-powered processor or cheaply written firmware (or the guns were sampled with an imprecise frequency counter) it could be inaccurate on the more odd pulse rates (like the Laser Atlanta/PL2's 238 pps rate).
