That said, there's another round of Escort Smart Radar units hitting the shelves at $160. Not sure what I'd pick. The cobra unit is very small and has a lot of nice features. I definitely feel protected wain using it.
Are you using iradar? How's that I found it extremely buggy and unusable.

It's my backup detector and I haven't had a chance to use it with v4.0.3 yet. Never experienced app instability issues in the past and the software worked well enough. I'm using Android if that matters.

Yep exactly. Taking advantage of peoples ignorance to the products. I was a cobra user at one time myself. I had to see for myself how poorly it performed and started doing research. That's when I ran into you awesome gentlemen and got educated. I actually ran in to Tom before I did anyone if I remember correctly. He was a great help to me. I chatted with someone on BRD.net that was a big help too.

I had the Cobra Vendetta and it wasn't a horrible unit. It actually offer decent range at times. Also when I tested the Cobra BT unit a while back it wasn't horrible either at times. Its really good to know there are products that will perform well enough for saves though in ALL situations not sure straights with no hills. lol
