OFFICIAL Can/Am Jammerfest 2014 signup sheet

    Hey everyone!

As stated yesterday in the planning thread I had set up, this year's Can/Am Jammerfest is planned for May 31, 2014 at 9:00 AM here in Buffalo. Any and all (regardless of forum) are welcome. As previously stated, attendance has been spotty at best the last few years, so we are hoping for a better turnout this time (last year there were only 4 attendees -- myself included)!!!

Location will be sent out just prior to the event. Please do not ask beforehand, lest ye risk being drawn and quartered (OK, that was a bit much, but you get the idea)!

We would be looking to test with the following equipment:

    Ultralyte LR-B
    TruSpeed - Veil Guy
    TruSpeed S
    DALA/DET
    Dragoneye Compact
    SpeedLaser R
    ProLaser III/IV
Stalker (any version) - Veil Guy
Ultralyte 100 pps - Veil Guy

    Confirmed:

    Qui-Gon
    wolfpacal
    spankyaf
    Veil Guy

    Tentative:

    yellowcab
    KaPro
    RigToFly01
    Salty
    AirMoore
    jerry540i

Less RedRocket, we have all of last year's participants.

For those who are tentative or definitely coming: if you have any of the listed LIDAR units and can bring them with you it would be SOOOOOO appreciated!

Can't have a shootout without toys, now can we?

To tell the truth,(absolutely not Q-G's cause or fault) I've been quite disappointed by CM community members lack of interest in the Can/Am meets.Last year was the last straw,so I remain on the fence until I see improvement.I did say this to Q-G after last years event & sorry to be so anal about it,but that's how I read the situation.

Maybe move it somewhere in between Buffallo and the Tri State Area. We have many members in the Tri-State area but its too long of a drive for most guys.

Before looking at an Escort Radar Detector you should really check out Uniden Detectors.. Uniden R1 & R3 are the best performing radar detectors for the money.

I agree. 6+ hour drive for me on my only day off is a bit much for me.

I understand everyone's concerns, believe me. I started doing this as a service for our Canadian brethren back in 2010 - our best year AFA attendance is concerned. As I cannot afford to rent the things we need to test with, I have been heavily dependent upon the CM community to provide those things. I cannot keep expecting everyone like RedRocket to keep driving long distances to "do me a solid" as it were, and if I were him I'd be mad if I drove that long a distance and no one showed up. Relocating the event out of my area is not an option, unfortunately.

RedRocket said it best - "Last year was the last straw".

If interest does not pick up I will unfortunately be forced to cancel altogether. As previously stated, I cannot continue to rely on the same persons each year to bring what I need to run this event.

Well said. Last year's event was dismal for attendance. Qui-Gon deserves more of a turnout as he puts a lot of time in to the event. Hope this years event is fruitful and doesn't get cancelled. RedRocket drove a hell of a long way to attend last year. We need more people from Ontario. It's only an hour and half to Buffalo including the border for most around the GTA. My drive is 2 hours+ but I still make it, one to test my setup and two, because Qui-Gon puts a lot of effort in to the event.

Thank you, wolfpac. There are some from our original group back in 2010 (IIRC you and I are the only original group members left) that I have given up on: raydeee, dcdave78 and birdman. I have reached out to the first two on multiple occasions with little success. Birdman...well, he was a completely different story. Anyhow, to hopefully increase numbers, I again have opened up participation to everyone on all forums. If anyone who is tentative here should not wish to participate because of this I will understand.
