GPS Antenna not detected (and a question about the app.)

Hi all, sorry if this has been discussed before but I cannot seem to find anything when I search. I've got an ALP system with 4 sensors (two front/one rear and a tx in front) as well as the NetRadar DSP radar antenna and a GPS antenna. Everything is connected and I went through the firmware and control set updates and used the configuration tool to further configure everything but every time the system comes on it tells me the GPS antenna is not connected. It is plugged directly into the G port on the controlbox (though I have tried also plugging it into the GPS port on the addon box where the radar antenna plugs into directly) and it makes no difference. I've tried resetting to factory default to let it relearn all the sensors and I get the same issue. I grabbed the statistics file through the iOS app and it shows the following (relevant) info (please note that the rear sensor is not connected as I am waiting for an extension cable):
    CPU Hardware version 2
    Firmware version 5.4.5
    Region North America
    Power Cycles 42
    Control Set FW version 6.2
Control Set HW version ALPConnect BT
    Activated locks not active
    Hardware version 2
    Connected sensors
    Connected sensors (memorized) Front1, Front3
    Connected sensors (actual) Front1, Front3
Connected TX sensors (stored) Front green
Connected TX sensors (actual) Front green
    Last laser MARKSMAN OR ULTRALYTE
    Last radar K-band
    Last error
Last warning 5- GPS antenna disconnected

    Any thoughts?

I also have another question regarding the use of the Alpconnect app. It seems that when I connect to the system with it, all the audible alerts become suppressed (I can see the alert on my phone but nothing is audible). I have tried changing the speaker setting in the app from default to speaker to HFP (not that I know what the difference is or how to make the system accept the new settings) but nothing changes. It also seems that connecting the app causes both of the LEDs to turn off and stay dark but there doesn't seem to be a way to adjust that.
    Assistance would be much appreciated!

    L

99% I would bet that your settings do not list that you have a GPS Connected. If you have GPS Connected Set to No but you have TX Sensors that require a GPS Connected you will get that GPS Error.

So, I have it set to YES in the config (I did that first) that I create online and then download to a USB drive. Putting that USB drive into the ALP I get the message about settings updated but it doesn't change anything. While I can download the active config to a USB drive using the ALPConnect app, I do not know how to look at that config file to see if it thinks the setting is turned on or not (if it's possible that for some reason despite setting it to YES in the web configurator it wont get set to YES after uploading the file).
Anything else I can check or do?

Hit Modify Settings in BT and create an online config file with all your settings. After you save your settings online you can go back to the app and hit download under the settings to install it.

I should have mentioned that I did try that before, but I just did so again and still no change.

Do you have the GPS antenna connected to the RG3 Module (GPS Port) and not the G Port on the CPU? You can also post a photo of all the wiring and we can check it all for you.

So, it was connected to the G port on the CPU and I tried it on the GPS port on the RG3 and nothing changed. As luck would have it, I was sent two GPS antennas and so on a whim I decided to just plug in the other GPS antenna instead and see what happened and it works fine. Apparently the first GPS antenna is bad (I've now swapped it back and forth with the other antenna and it keeps failing when I try the original). So, thanks for all the help!

I still can't get the audio sorted out with the ALPConnect app. I ALWAYS want the ALP to alert via the HiFi module, no matter what. However, when I connect with the ALPConnect app, the audio appears to always get rerouted to the stereo in the car, which means I get no audible alerts at all UNLESS I also happen to be using my phone as the audio source for music (my stereo is set to NOT put audio alerts from my phone over the car audio unless the phone is the music source, which is how I want it). Is there some way to force the audio out of the ALP HiFi speaker always?

You cant run both HiFi & BT at the same time. When you connect to BT it disconnects HiFi and all sounds go through your phone. If your phone or BT fails then the system will default back to the HiFi controller.

Ahh! Okay -- I misunderstood that. Thanks!
I have some other app related questions but I'll go post in the appropriate place. Thank you!

There is also a manual in the app itself if you scroll right to the settings screen and hit the 'HELP' button.
