R1 against Red EX Which horse will

    win the range race ?

If we remove from the equation $/features/filtration.

    I bet on the R.

Redline EX is looking dissappinting right now. K filtering seems equivalent to the Max. TSR is necessary.. I don't expect anything big on range neither. The only thing that still has me excited is that it's an analog detector.. Good job on selling your international in time btw

    You helped me a lot

I would be willing to spend on a R1 but not on Ex ...it is almost $ 800 cad for a not better unit then an ''old'' redline.

What do you use as rd ?

    R3 hands down.

I'm just waiting for the R3 to adjust its KA narrow for Australian KA on 34.9...

Then I'll get one as well just for a good base line unit.

The Redline EX just looks like a new body but same heart kinda deal.

I've got 3 NR antennas (Front, rear, MRCD). It's not stealth, so it wouldn't work for you. The Redline EX is nice because it has MRCD/T detection in 1 antenna for $600USD. Remember the R-series isn't completely stealth neither. It would be great, but you really need something with MRCD detection...

It's close enough for 15 minutes testing (or daily usage)

I wouldn't use it daily though, just for baseline.

The NR 2.0 apparently is down to 5ft on axis (even less off axis) but that's still a few months off from being officially known.

MRCD/MRCT isn't the biggest threat globally by far, the Gatso RT3 has a bigger deployment footprint, as does the Redflex Dual RADAR

So far I'm only aware of the Stinger and Redline being able to detect the Gatso RT3 series and so far no one has beaten the Redflex Dual Radar.

Maybe you should wait for the NEW NetRadar "Digital" that 'BRD' said would be released very soon. Maybe will be "Stealth" & have great range, too.

I'll be testing the NR DSP this weekend. I'll let you guys know how it goes. I don't think any Spectre tests are planned, but I'm very excited!

    .

Here in Quebec they are not very dangerous for 2 reasons : have to be announced and no demerit points , they are not ambushed like yours .

The biggest threat are the LLH ...they like to play police and wont move , yours are RLH ?
