V1 to be or not to be ?

Is it time to switch from V1 to R3 ? Any recommendations ? Thoughts ?

I own a V1, but the testing I have read gives the R3 a clear advantage in range over even a custom swept V1. The V1 seems to have better BSM filtering though and of course arrows which in some situations are a big help, but not everyone cares about that feature.
Valentine Research has had several new patents approved, but a new V1 is vapour-ware for now, and anyone's guess when or even if they will come out with a new RD, whereas the R3 is real.
My V1 with YaV1 is adequate for now and bug free, and I'm willing to wait, for a while, for a new and hopefully improved V1. It's a tough call.

Guys have been waiting for years for a new V1. Mike V is getting old and no one knows for sure if it will ever happen.
