    firmwware update failed.now what?

    tried to update.
I downloaded to two different USB fat 32 flash drives. each time, the control box led flashed many different colors, lots of beeping ,but at the end, all i got was a quick flashing blue led, that appears to go on indefinitely.

So I thought i would do a factory reset, but that too just leaves me with the quick flashing blue led.

So what went wrong and how can I fix it now?

    Thanks in advance

It appears you're good to go. What did you set your LID time for ???
Flashing Blue is the normal indication/condition of active defense mode. - That's how my AL-P sys currently is set for operation.

Have patience and let it do its thing. A full update can take up to 12 minutes if you are updating firmware, hifi controller and voicepack. If the LED is flashing fast leave it alone and let it install.

Fast flashing means it's still updating. Slower flashing blue means it's in defense mode. If you went from something earlier than 5.3.1 to current it resets your configuration so if you had your LED set to dark or constant it will revert to flashing after the update. Just make a new config file and install it and you'll be back to your preferred settings.

You really need to have your install Tested after an upgrade. Have you had this done, & if not - are you in the U.S. & what part of the country ?

The closest event to you would be the Meet that happens in Western NY near Buffalo. That's a bit of a drive but there's none closer,AFAIK. That Meet hasn't happened yet, but possibly might in June, I suspect.
