It shouldn't interfere with any ALP...
Yeah there's a lot of dilemmas that these semi-autonomous cars can cause. Off the top of my head:
(1) Driver falsely lured into thinking the car is fully autonomous, and ends up paying less...
That guy was Joshua Brown, who's posted other Autopilot youtube videos before. So, for sure they have dashcam footage and can confirm whether or not he was distracted:...
Yeah, I think before long, the NHTSA may need to start taking a NTSB-like role in air craft black box interpretation…. The manufacturer has every interest to design the logging system and interpret...
Tesla responded by claiming that the vehicle logs show that the car was in Drive and the driver slammed the accelerator down full force. Since all the Model X's delivered at the time were 600+HP...
Teslas only use one forward camera, one forward 77GHz radar, and 12 ultrasonic parking sensors -- more parking sensors on the Model X to protect the falcon wing doors. It won't interfere with ALPs or...
I suspect that anything which throws LIDAR pulses will probably trigger the jam indicator on various DALA/DET guns, even if they don't actually cause a jam. But the turret seems to spin pretty...
I'll have to try clocking one.

I've also confirmed they very reliably set off a Poliscan alert on the ALPs. I'd advise those in the Bay Area to turn Poliscan off.
In my experience they set off Poliscan alerts pretty frequently. In your state you don't need to enable Poliscan.
You're unlikely to figure out the pulse rate since they use a spinning LIDAR...
Bubble orientation generally doesn't matter, the net effect is basically the 1 inch difference in bubble to bubble distance. The bubble is where the receiver is.
Don't forget that this state is a HEAVY Truspeed S user, and we know that gun has gone all VPR on us!
Way ahead of you! Turned off LIDAR on my V1 ages ago. The laser alert to actual laser hit ratio was horrible and it was just the Infiniti/Volvo noise.
Using your ALP's for laser is a ton better. ...
Vortex, I haven't tried it, but perhaps you can turn the Master volume lower to keep ACTIVE Woman under control and then use the various volume override knobs to make laser alerts louder?

I wouldn't mind an alert sound for PoliScan that differs from a regular gun, given that Poliscan alerts tend to be either more urgent in nature (if you live in a Poliscan area) or more nuisance in...
I am not sure if they do. They certainly are "allowed" to -- California has an EXTREMELY broad definition of "Peace Officer", who are allowed to enforce CVC/CPC. And that even includes some railroad...
That's not far from where I live. I might swing by and investigate. I would not be surprised if that area has a Ka speed sign
I presume HiFi doesn't announce frequencies? That's too bad -- I wish it would at least announce "Ka 5"
Yes, I've seen confirmed 35.5 from the U.S. Park Police inside Yosemite, as well as the blue DHS federal police vehicles near Golden Gate Bridge. They also sometimes run radar from Suburbans on 101...
I have a video in RDF where there was a black unmarked crown Vic in Half Moon Bay running 33.8 but that is the only 33.8 I've ever picked up in CA. I still have no confirmation if it were a cop or...
Thanks! As always, you guys rock!
It'd be great to be able to toggle Poliscan / PFR On and Off through the Laser Menu on the control pad. I usually don't drive in Poliscan infested areas, but am afraid to find myself heading that way...
UGH it took me a while to realize that these things cause PoliScan falses too. They're all over our freeways around here.
I've gotten maybe 2 or 3 Poliscan falses over the course of the last year. It's not a lot, and not extremely annoying, but I was caught off guard today by a Poliscan false that lasted at least 3-4...
Thanks. Obviously, thought I'd ask before attempting it :)
