UPDATE to my 2017 review . . .
It's now mid-2019, and I have changed nothing since installing the system described in that review (3 regular ALP heads and an original Netradar unit up front, and...
I have a middle grill mounted mounted regular sensor. It is not a tx sensor.
Yep. My front NR is behind the bumper cover and works great too! :)
Yeah, OK. This was a ceramic tint. I'm not sure about the glass though. More research required. Looked under the rear bumper. I would have to pull it to mount the NR there. :\
Thanks for the tips. I wasn't sure about tint effect on radar. I'm not sure what athermic glass is, but it wouldn't surprise me if Porsche doesn't use it to keep that greenhouse fastback window...
I won't mount in the rear window because it is tinted. I'll be under the car (on a lift) for an oil change next week, and will see what mounting opportunities avail themselves without pulling the...
Thanks a bunch! Love the ALPs integrated with the Net Radar. Best setup I've ever run. Love the K filtering of Net Radar!
Finally got around to mounting my two rear ALP receivers, and updating all the software. The good news was that I did NOT have to remove the rear bumper to mount them, like I thought I would. ...
UPDATE: Around where I live the threat is mostly Ka. If you get on the highways, you may see a motorcycle FHP shooting laser, but it's fairly rare. I've had numerous Net Radar saves with more than...
Now why didn't I think of that? LOL! Thanks! You are QUICK!!!
Another observation while using my Android phone. I have to swipe from the threat display screen to the first page to disengage and then use the original controller to revert to Parking Sensor mode...
I installed a front 3-head system with a front Net Radar antenna. I have two ALP sensors for the back, but have not installed them yet. My intention is to buy another Net Radar antenna for the rear...
UPDATE: It appears when reconnecting the ALP Connect app when I return to the car, I sometimes get a "Checksum failed. Reverting to default settings." When I reconfigure with my USB, and check the...
Net Radar has broken the code on K band falsing. It will still pick some K band falses up if you are very close to a nearby strong source (automatic door openers for instance-easy to lock out), but...
That's good to hear. Especially in that heavy traffic!
OZ? Isn't the internet a great thing when I can share interests with a guy down in Australia? That's pretty cool! :satellite:
Thanks for the welcome from all!
This seems to be one of the most persistent requests. Perhaps a new BT module should eventually be considered since so many people are asking. It won't happen overnight, but certainly would be well...
OK, this post is for anyone that has made it this far in the thread, and those having problems with their display not showing GPS info.
I was so focused on the hardware and the config.alp...

Hi everyone! Wailer here, checking in from Northeast Florida. Used to spend time on many of the other radar/laser forums, but this one is so much more refreshing. Up to date info with...
Just noticed a changed light sequence on startup. Solid Green>Solid Red>Solid Green>Solid Blue, then, and this is new, rapid flashing green>back to solid blue.
Everything working but the GPS. ...
No, it's been working. Just quit today after I uploaded the new config.alp file. GPS in the car works fine too. Is the GPS antenna supposed to blink red?
My ALP GPS is connected into the RG Plugin 3 box, NOT the main controller. Is that correct?
ALP GPS. I've reconfirmed the ALP Connect settings three times. Each time I take the new verified config.alp file and place it on the reformatted thumb drive and plug it into the ALP USB port. I...
I did a Force Stop on the ALP Connect app on the phone, re-paired the phone with the ALP Bluetooth, and got the bluetooth connection back. Still no GPS however. I am SURE I configured it correctly...
