AntiLaser is working hard on getting this marriage put together between the best laser defense system (AL Priority) and the best remote radar system (Beltronics Sti-R Plus) so that customers could have one unit with the best of both worlds. Testing is underway and some snags as expected came up but its almost complete. We will release the radar module when all is complete and working 100%. We expect to have the modules available in a few weeks.

If you have checked the AL Priority Update site recently (http://www.alpupdate.com) you will see in the new setup if you click on the STI-R Plus antenna and under bands you select KA Band a new menu will appear with KA Band Segment options:

They are still working on the final touches but there will also be the RDR (On/OFF) and POP (On/OFF) settings as well.

We will update as this integration gets finalized. Many have wanted one system for the best radar and laser protection and AntiLaser will have it available soon.

This is looking good. I look forward to testing the integrated ALP/STiR+ vs the standalone STiR+.

Once done I would love to see a custom installed detector challenge:
K40 vs. ALP w/Sti-R Plus. I think custom installers will love this Combo and it will be very popular.

I think I can make that happen.

This looks great BRD. This will offer a new level of protection for those of us that live in restricted area (Ontario)that no other is able to provide.

Considering that Escort's new Jammer does not even integrate with their own radar detectors I expect this integration to take off. I have already arranged pricing on the Sti-R Plus antenna's and the Sti-R Plus antenna and the ALP Radar Module will be under $500.

Let me know when it is ready for sale. The AL Priority worked well on my trip down I95. Saved me 4 times.

The ALP and the stir plus, will you be able to control it and receive alerts via the Bluetooth/smart phone when it is available?

Firmware is almost complete... RDR options have been coded and POP mode also coded. Wide option is also available for those using the international Sti-R Plus.

Yes, You will be able to control the AL Priority from the bluetooth module and it will display both the radar and laser alerts through the app. See screen shot below which will show you what the app looks like:

Still waiting on the Bluetooth modules because a last minute change had to be made but we have already received the radar modules to begin testing. If this stuff is on anyone's Christmas list it will be there in time.

Nice--in all reality it should work like a standard Sti-R, too bad you don't have the Bluetooth module to go along with that so you can run the app too.

Expected with anything this new. I am still impressed with all the accessory's that will come with the ALP and how quickly it looks like it will all come together. It would be a massive undertaking just introducing the ALP to this market in a timely fashion with updates already, let alone all the accessory's as well.

Hi BRD,

Will any off the shelf GPS antennas currently work with the ALP CPU, or will AL produce one specifically for the unit ? When I had a quick look on ebay etc, there's not many available with a RJ11/RJ45 style socket

Thanks

I had already asked and I will have a definite answer by Monday weather we can use a generic one or not.

I'm waiting to see how well this works out with the controller(muting, lockouts, etc). I'll be placing an order really soon.

If your looking for Lockouts you will need to get your own full Sti-R Plus. Lockouts are an Escort patented feature and you will not get them with the integration. The Integration will basically operate as a RDR/BS Redline with the AL Priority and mixed with Saavy if you add the GPS to ignore alerts under a certain speed all in one unit.

Hi Tom,

If you want to use the radar module and bluetooth module at the same time, can you daisy chain the modules together to plug them into the single C port of the CPU, or is there a splitter or pass-through type cable arrangement to hook them both up ?

Did you get any updates on which GPS antenna we can use ?

Many thanks

Radar Module connects to the Radar & GPS Port, The Bluetooth Module gets connected to the C port.
No answer yet on which GPS antennas will be on the supported list yet.

If I use the bluetooth module for the initial install with 2 front sensors, will I be able to add rear functionality in the future? Will the bluetooth module and CPU both recognize the additional sensors? Is there a potential delay in alerts when using Bluetooth instead of a full hard wired system?

Thanks

There is no issue with using Bluetooth with any amount of sensors. If you connect the sensors to the CPU it will work with zero issues. There is no delay in protection if using the Bluetooth as the controller.

GPS port has not bee activated yet. Last I heard AntiLaser was testing different generic GPS antennas to see which they could use. The GPS antenna will not be a AL Branded GPS but rather an inexpensive one you can get from Ebay, Etc.
