Seems that a technology moved forward, the defence should focus more on the rego plate. (no pun intended).
They may have footage that we can mess with, but then applying the footage is based on the rego plate. This makes that point
the weakest link in the chain...
Perhaps a detector (both laser and radar) that can electronically polarise a film...something like those new fangled welders goggles...

just thinking out loud..

I lived in BC for a long while, I would actually suggest it's worse in the Vancouver area, also on Highway 3 between Kelowna and Grand Forks.
