Yesterday going to church I received 3 consecutive Poliscan alerts ...I know there is no device there so

1) do we have Poliscan here in Alberta ?
2) I can disable Poliscan ( I do have false rejection enabled)
3) It was a false alert (from what)
4) I should stop going to church :)

Need more info to figure out why you're getting this:
1. Does it occur in same location ?
2. You only have Front Sensors ?
3. Approaching vehicle have H.I.D. HL's on ?
4. Sunny day w/ scattered light thru tree branches ?
5. Are LTI Corp. UltraLyte Lidar used in AK ?

Any attempt to figure it out w/o more data is only speculation.

1. Does it occur in same location ? no..was a first
2. You only have Front Sensors ? no 2/3
3. Approaching vehicle have H.I.D. HL's on ? possibly..don't recall
4. Sunny day w/ scattered light thru tree branches ? no..early am heading west..overcast
5. Are LTI Corp. UltraLyte Lidar used in AK ?..I'm in Alberta,,not Ak..and yes I think it is used..

And this was not the first time I received a false poliscan,,

Any attempt to figure it out w/o more data is only speculation.

We'll I'll keep an eye out but there was no laser source as I could see..

On the latest firmware, I get constant Poliscan falses, eg every time it rearms.

Found it to be one of my P1 sensors.
Disconnected it - problem stopped, reconnected - started again.
Moved to another spot - still falsed.
Turned on Poliscan false filtering - kept happening.
Not sure what is going on.
Also noticed that K band detection has dropped on the new firmware, the Gatso 24s only trigger at close range, but the falses go off at the their usual spots...

Looks like you have the option to switch off on the NA setup.alp on alpupdate.com ;

Yes, it is a fixed or mobile automated lidar camera (not hand held)

Thanks winterbrew..I'm curious if someone can confirm that we DON'T have Poliscan here (Alberta Canada) and i'd go ahead and disable it..

I have never seen a Poliscan in BC or Alberta. Defiantly never in Edmonton.

Got 1 when I was stationary in my driveway. It was probably the sun. Other then that no, I will probably end up disabling it.

I have enabled that since the last update and I still get sporadic Poliscan alerts.

Because Poliscan gives such little warning its hard to take time to analyze and filter it without risking a chance of it being a real threat. If you know Poliscan is not in your area you can turn it off. I have only seen it once in MD and we have a ticket to prove it since we had no rear protection on the vehicle. For those in Australia where it is very common dealing with some false alerts is the only way to deal with the issue.
