Totally blown away no posts on this yet here. Testing on it has been stellar on RDF! R1 is listed for $329.99 and R3 is $429.99.

Looks to be the RedLine-IX we always asked for. Thank you Tom and Uniden!

Where-Which-When-Who-What-Why.....
We're a low-key introspective bunch here & somewhat reclusive, I guess Uniden thought we were to petrified to get involved w/ their remarkable new R1 & R3 RDs. Maybe someone will show up w/ one & wake us up...maybe you. :highly_amused:

Actually this is testing group RALETC's homebase, but I havn't seen them involved w/ anything for a loooong time. Appears they're are in a deep slumber, too.

Whew, can't handle all this excitement...excuse me, nap time now -zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

LOL.. Sorry.. Been really busy lately talking to customers 12+ hours a day about the new R1 & R3 and forgot to post about them here. Great detector and a real game changer.

Ordered - my LRD950 with latest firmware was really growing on me (BSM filtering etc), so this one with the extra dBm's over the Redline, will be very useful against the Raptor RP-1 low power k bands we have here.

Any news on successfully filtering the 2015 Chevy SS (GM Holden Commodore VF in AU) - the LRD950 can get to within 10 - 20m before it punches through ?

I'm very excited about the R3, it appears to be the RD I have been waiting for.

If I pull the trigger I'll be sure to do one of my comprehensive reviews here.

Sell it in RDF's for sale section.

I may be doing the same with my RedLine.

Yeah I recommend against using eBay.

I've been almost screwed over a few times as a seller.
I now only use gumtree + cash otherwise for sale pages on forums.

What is our RALFORUM promo code for 10% off if I want to buy a Uniden R3 on the BestRadarDetector.net website? There is no discount on the R Series detectors. They are priced the lowest available and are in very short supply.

l Love the R3. I live in a suburb of NYC where there are cameras all over the place. How can reduce false alerts? I have K band set to Narrow and reduced to %50.

I have K band set to Narrow and reduced to %50.Thats about the best you can do at 50% and still get K band alerts. Are you running TSF ON as well. That may help a little. Problem is the BSM falsing that it gets. Pretty good against stationary once you have some lockouts in place.

"TSF" is abbreviation for Traffic Sensor Filter. "Traffic Sensors" are radar emitting modules along roads/highways that monitor the number of vehicles passing by so the State or County can detect the amount of vehicle congestion & authorities can issue warnings about highway grid-lock conditions throughout the day.
Some of your false alerts are likely due to the R3 picking up these radar modules & you have the Option to turn ON the filter to reduce these false alerts.

I am super excited about R3 as well. Main concern here is how good it is against Spectre Elite and other RDDs. Ontario LEOs have an arsenal of RDDs densely deployed around US-Canada border. We will see if R3 can peacefully navigate through them.
